About the RLHIM Pharmacy
The RLHIM pharmacy is run by pharmacists who specialise in natural medicines, and it is both a hospital and a retail pharmacy.
The RLHIM hospital pharmacy
The pharmacy dispenses prescriptions for NHS funded, non-NHS funded and private prescriptions.
The pharmacists are able to provide advice and information on RLHIM prescribed medications and natural medicines.
Our team of pharmacists work closely with the RLHIM doctors and are involved in multidisciplinary team meetings to assure the best patient care.
The preparation of each prescription does require time as most of the medicines are partly prepared on site before labelling and doublechecking. As a result, waiting times may vary according to the prescription being dispensed
Prescription charges
For NHS funded medicines the normal prescription charges and exemptions apply.
The Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine (RLHIM) no longer provides NHS-funded homeopathic remedies, mistletoe preparations and herbal medicines.
Should you choose, you will be able to obtain these remedies from the RLHIM pharmacy with a private prescription from your doctor. You can speak to your clinician or the RLHIM pharmacy at your next visit about this.
The RLHIM retail pharmacy
The pharmacy is also a registered retail pharmacy selling a range of
natural quality products to the general public.
These include:
- Herbal and homeopathic medicines
- Nutritional supplements
- Natural toiletries
- Organic herbal teas
