For patients who live near to Southampton, we work closely with the clinical team based at Southampton General Hospital so that some or all patient care can be given there. We ‘meet’ by video-conference regularly to review and plan treatments.

I have worked for University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust since 1992 and have been a consultant since 1996 specialising in the management of bone and soft tissue sarcomas, breast cancer and testicular cancer. I am the UHS Clinical Lead for Sarcoma, was chair of the former Central South Coast Cancer Network Sarcoma Site Specific Group (SSG) and now the Wessex sarcoma SSG.
I lead an active clinical trials programme in breast cancer and sarcoma in Southampton and have been involved in the development and oversight of a number of national breast cancer clinical trials. I have also been a member of the NCRI Breast and Testicular Cancer Clinical Studies Groups.
I graduated from St George’s University of London and did my general medical training in London and South Yorkshire. I was a trainee in the Wessex deanery. I did a clinical fellowship in Sarcoma at the Royal Marsden before obtaining my CCT in clinical oncology in August 2018. I have worked for University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust since 2013 and have been a consultant since 2018. My practice includes management of TYA and adult neuro-oncology, intracranial stereotactic radiosurgery and sarcoma radiotherapy.
I specialise in trauma, hip, knee, and pelvic surgery.
I undertook a one year specialist fellowship in orthopaedic oncology at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore. In Southampton, I treat patients where cancers from other locations have spread to the bone. I also see patients with a suspected bone/soft tissue sarcoma and ensure they are channelled in the correct treatment pathway.
I am a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon working at Salisbury District Hospital and University Hospitals Southampton NHS Foundation Trust since 2017.My training was undertaken within the Oxford region culminating in a Reconstructive Microsurgery Fellowship. My practice includes skin oncology, sarcoma, lower limb and upper limb trauma and reconstruction following breast cancer.
I trained in medicine in London (Charing Cross and Westminster Hospital) and have been a consultant to the University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust since 1997. I am a member (and previous chair) of the Pathology Section Committee of the British Society of Gastroenterology. I am a quality assurance pathologist for the national Bowel Cancer Screening Programme and a member of the national pathology committee for the programme. I am interested in clinical research and have over 125 publications, mainly in gastrointestinal and breast disease, including two books and several book chapters. Within my role as a gastrointestinal pathologist I have a clinical interest in gastrointestinal stromal tumours.
I have been a consultant histopathologist at University Hospitals Southampton NHS foundation Trust since 2014. I am the Trust's postgraduate training lead for cellular pathology, and I am also part of the clinical lead team for the department. I completed a mini fellowship in osteoarticular pathology at Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in 2013 under the supervision of Professor Adrienne Flanagan. I am the sarcoma pathology lead for the Trust, which involves reporting referrals from around the region.
I am Consultant Oncology Radiologist with a shared responsibility for sarcoma imaging at UHS. In addition to my diagnostic skills I also have a broad experience and particular expertise in percutaneous image guided tumour ablation of visceral and soft tissue lesions.
I trained at the University of Sheffield. After successfully completing a basic surgical rotation and obtaining my MRCS qualification, I trained in trauma and orthopaedic for 3 years. During this period, I took time out to undertake an MSc at University College London. My research was on mesenchymal stem cells and skeletal tissue culture.
I was selected on to the Wessex Clinical Radiology Training Programme and successfully attained Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) qualification before completing a fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology at Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, UK. I gained experience in complex orthopaedic imaging, radiofrequency ablation and bone and soft tissue tumour imaging and biopsy.
I have training in nuclear medicine bone SPECT/CT imaging.
I have recently completed a diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine at the University of South Wales.
I was appointed to a Consultant post in Southampton in 2017.

Particular interests within this subspecialty include Sarcoma and Head & Neck Imaging.
I am a consultant musculoskeletal radiologist. I have been working in Southampton General Hospital since February 2013 and my area of interest is musculoskeletal radiology: bone imaging, joint imaging, spine imaging, sport injuries imaging, soft tissue disorders, bone and soft tissue tumours and image guided diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
​Since September 2018 I am also the director of the radiology training programme in Southampton General Hospital.
I started working in the NHS as a Diagnostic Radiographer in 2003. I joined UHS in 2006 as a Paediatric Radiographer and soon trained and took on an Advanced practice role as a Sonographer. For the last 4 years I have been the Superintendent Sonographer within the main Radiology Ultrasound department at UHS performing a wide variety of ultrasound examinations. I work regularly as part of a multidisciplinary team both at UHS and at Salisbury to provide seamless care to our patients and their relatives.
My career started 20 years ago in oncology as an Auxiliary nurse. I was supported to commence my training and on completion returned to Oncology which saw me progress to Ward Manager of the inpatient chemotherapy ward. After 13 years I took a year out to work as a Research Nurse in Lymphoma for Cancer research UK. In 2014 I joined the Sarcoma team at Southampton as a Nurse Specialist. My role is one of keyworker to people with sarcoma, supporting them and their families throughout their care pathway. I also facilitate our Southampton Sarcoma Support Group here in our Macmillan Centre, supported by sarcoma UK.
I have over 20 years' experience of working within the NHS, 12 of which have been working within Oncology as a staff nurse on the inpatient ward then progressing to a Sister & coordinator role within the unit.
I joined the Sarcoma team in 2009. My role is to provide specialist support & information to patients & their carers from diagnosis & throughout their pathway of care. We work together as a team to provide seamless care for our patients.
I hold regular chemotherapy workshops for patients, we also coordinate a Sarcoma support group here at Southampton.
I have worked for the NHS for over 20 years. I have 16 years’ experience in medical oncology, as a chemotherapy nurse, I have extensive experience of both Lymphoma and Sarcoma and advanced skills in palliative care. Utilising my palliative care experience, I have worked for a period for the South-Central Organ Donation team. I have recently joined the Sarcoma team here in Southampton as a nurse specialist. The role is about being an advocate for our patients who have been given the diagnosis of sarcoma. We work in a collaborative team to provide seamless specialist support and advice to all patients throughout their pathway.
I have worked at UHS for many years in Neurosurgery/Oncology starting as an Audio Typist progressing to a Medical Secretary, Principal Secretary and then MDT Co-ordinator in Neuro-oncology. In February 2019 I changed from Neuro MDT Coordinator to the Sarcoma MDT Co-ordinator.
I joined University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust in June 2000. At this time I worked in the oncology outpatient centre as a bookings clerk, I then transferred to the admissions team and also experienced some time working as the channel Island clerk. I settled into the role as cancer care bed manager for 5 years gaining a wealth of experience and building relations with senior oncology teams, this led me to apply for my current position as Sarcoma and Lymphoma clinical care coordinator. I have held this position since 2016.
