RNOH CNS & AHP Team win Macmillan Professionals Excellence Award!

The RNOH Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) and Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) Sarcoma Team were extremely proud to be awarded a national Macmillan Professionals Excellence Award last week at the annual Macmillan Conference. The award was in the Quality Improvement Category and recognises the work the team has put in place to embed Personalised Cancer Care and stratified follow-up into the sarcoma patient pathway to improve patient care and experience.

It was an extremely rigorous selection process which started in early June 2022. There were many stages including interviews, written statements, sessions with a copywriter and a photographer, all of which makes the team even more delighted to be chosen as a winner. It demonstrates the commitment of the AHP and CNS teams to work together to continuously evolve the service to provide the best quality care and support by the right member of the team at the right time.

It is an enormous achievement to be considered for these prestigious awards and the entire London Sarcoma Service team are immensely pleased that the work of the RNOH Sarcoma Team has been acknowledged nationally.
