Our vision is for a campus of health care and health research. This will mean:
- patients can easily move between sites, receiving the care they need in environments that enhance their experience
- our staff can work in collaboration across different teams
- we can work closely with our academic and research partners to rapidly embed research findings into our clinical care.

Our hospital building programmes are award winning and we focus on environmental sustainability alongside clinical excellence. Recent awards and commendations include:

We are also really pleased to have the following new developments:
A new world class centre of excellence for neuroscience will open in 2025 on Grays Inn Road. The project will combine UCL's Queen Square Institute of Neurology (IoN) and the headquarters of the UK Dementia Research Institute (DRI).
- It will provide an exceptional research and treatment environment to tackle neurological diseases such as dementia, stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, disorders of movement, muscles and nerves.
- The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, with its world-leading reputation in care and treatment for people with neurological conditions, will have an outpatient clinic with facilities to enable patient participation in research studies, and an integrated clinical and research MRI scanning unit with 5 MRI scanners, supported by the National Brain Appeal at the centre.
The co-location with the Queen Square IoN and the headquarters of the UK DRI will enable clinical activities and research to take place together within one new facility which will enable an active dialogue between individuals with neurological disorders, their doctors and researchers.
Fitzroy Walk is a mixed-used development project, located in Fitzrovia off Cleveland Street, and includes clinical space for UCLH, as well as residential and commercial units.
The project is due to complete in 2025, and will provide a new home for the UCLH breast clinic and additional MRI imaging services on the ground floor and in the basement.
The development will include the re-opening of the pedestrian passageway between Cleveland Street and Charlotte Street, known as Fitzroy Walk, as well as the creation of a new public square, which will be fully accessible to the local community.
