TAD is back and better than ever, now in its sixth year, the event on 19 March 2022 will see a host of exciting speakers take to the stage to share their personal experiences of living with type 1 diabetes. The TAD talk concept was brought to life by three doctors (one of whom is part of the UCLH diabetes team!) who specialise in diabetes and want to support and empower those with diabetes to achieve their potential and live well. The goal is to inspire us to think differently about diabetes, removing barriers and harnessing innovation and new technologies. We aim to generate discussion and new thinking through shared experience.
You will be permitted to register interest for a maximum of four tickets per person (two adults and two children) on the Eventbrite page here.
The TADpole event for 8-12 year olds, will run in parallel to the TAD talks. Applications for TADpole places should be registered via the TADpole ticket option - children must be accompanied by an adult with a TAD talk ticket.
Those lucky enough to get a ballot place, to be announced in January 2022, will be asked to donate a minimum of £5 to Life for a Child. Life for a Child provides young people, in some of the world’s most vulnerable communities, with the insulin, supplies and diabetes education that they need to manage their diabetes.
