Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospitals provides a Community Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) service to the Borough of Enfield. This is a one-stop service for patients in the borough to receive specialist advice, care and treatment of minor ENT conditions in a local community setting without the need to attend an acute hospital clinic.
This service is currently under a significant amount of transformation, as we work with North Central London to ensure equity of access across the sector for all patients.

Other referral information
This service is currently only available to those living within Enfield CCG. Other CCGs provide community services via a mixture of providers.
All patients will need to be referred by their GP via the Enfield referral service. If accepted, their referral will then be submitted through the NHS e-Referral System (e-RS) to be triaged for either an initial telephone consultation or straight to a face-to-face clinic appointment at the Lincoln Road Medical Centre.

What if I need an operation?
If your condition requires an operation or further specialist management, you have the right to make a choice about your NHS provider. The ENT specialist will discuss this with you at your appointment and you will be referred to the NHS hospital of your choice. There are a number of local providers and more information can be found on NHS Choices. On the other hand, our Royal National ENT Hospital offers a comprehensive specialist ENT surgical service in central London, and you could be put directly onto the waiting list.
Patient aftercare is dependent on nature of the condition. Some patients will be suitable to be managed in the community by their GP, some will require ongoing hospital visits, and some will be discharged after treatment.
