We are currently running as many consultations as possible by telephone or video but are able to see urgent cases face to face every morning.

If a child or adolescent requires an urgent appointment, GPs can refer to our rapid referral clinic. This is a pre-booked service via e-referrals.

GPs should not hesitate to telephone 07803853567 if they would find telephone advice helpful ahead of the referral.
Acutely ill child, who needs immediate attention – should be sent directly to an Emergency Department (A&E) . Please note that during the Covid 19 pandemic the UCLH Paediatric Emergency Department is temporarily diverted to neighbouring hospitals. Please therefore use the closest Paediatric Emergency Department that is open.
For a baby with prolonged jaundice (14-20 days):
- if the child is otherwise well, please refer to the ANNP clinic on the neonatal unit by contacting 07903 358839 or 07903 358839.
- if the child is also unwell, please refer to the closest Paediatric Emergency Department.
For a baby with prolonged jaundice (21+ days), refer to the rapid referral clinic
