Adult Audio-vestibular Medicine provide investigation, diagnosis and management of the medical aspect of disorders of hearing, balance and tinnitus. The service consists of a multi-professional team and is located at the Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospital.

What we treat
This is a multidisciplinary specialist service providing medical assessment and aetiological investigation of hearing and balance disorders. Hearing disorders include (but are not exclusive to) tinnitus, hyperacusis, misophonia, genetic or acquired hearing loss and auditory central disorder. We provide a wide range of multidisciplinary clinics including diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology, clinical psychology and specialist physiotherapy.
Referral criteria / acceptance criteria
Adults above 18 years of age presenting with complex hearing or balance difficulties. Please note that we do not accept patients with common causes of hearing loss such as age-related hearing loss which are better tested for and managed through local audiology services.
