Medtronic have contacted the diabetes team regarding the recall of MiniMed™ 640 and 670 series insulin pumps, that have clear retainer rings (look at the top of the pump, where the reservoir gets inserted). They will provide a replacement even if the clear retainer ring is not damaged and regardless of the warranty status of the pump. Insulin pumps with the updated black retainer ring design are not impacted by this notice.
