The next Tree of Life group will run in-person at UCLH on Thursday 4th April from 10am - 4pm for young people in years 7 - 10. It will offer opportunities to meet other young people of a similar age, thinking together about their strengths and resources, and also challenges around diabetes, in fun and creative ways, using games, arts and crafts. We will also be joined by other young people living with type I diabetes (our peer trainers), who will share their experiences of living with diabetes, and share some of their strengths and challenges throughout their diabetes journey so far.
Please be aware that the group is for young people only, and we invite parents to find something to do for the duration of the group, after dropping their child off. A clinical nurse specialist will be present at the group, to manage any medical questions, or medical care during the group.
If your child is interested in attending the group, please register their interest by emailing charlotte.
It is essential that you sign up as soon as possible, as we have a very limited number of spaces and will only be able to allocate places on a first come first serve basis. We will aim to run the group again in the future, and will keep a waiting list if your child is unable to attend this time.
If you have any queries about the event, please email us.
