Professional background

Mr Bassi qualified from the University of London in 1993, and after five years of general professional training completed the fellowship examination in dental surgery in 1998. In 1999 Mr Bassi enrolled on the specialist registrar training programme in restorative dentistry which was completed in January 2004. During this time he also carried out research for which he was awarded the Master of Dental Science research degree with distinction. The period of specialist training allowed Mr Bassi to acquire extensive experience in all aspects of restorative dentistry, including prosthodontics, implantology, and periodontics on which he has lectured widely and published a variety of articles. 

He is now a consultant in restorative dentistry at the Eastman Dental Hospital with a particular interest in the management of patients with hypodontia.

Bone grafting for dental implants, surgical and restorative aspects of implant treatment, prosthodontics (including crown and bridgework, removable dentures) and periodontal disease control.
