Professional background
Lisa Cipolotti has been the head of the neuropsychology department at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery since 1995. In 2007 she became professor of neuropsychology at the Institute of Neurology, UCL. In 2014 she became the lead of psychology services at UCLH. From 2015 till 2020, she acted as clinical director for specialist services, providing strategic direction to ensure effective service delivery and improvement.
Her programme of research has focused on understanding the cognitive sequelae of neurological conditions, in order to develop accurate diagnosis of impairments arising from brain disease or injury. She has published over 220 influential publications in major international journals, successfully obtained competitive research grants for over five million pounds and supported the research activities of many departments at the Institute of Neurology.
