Professional background
Mr Seni Subair has been a consultant in obstetrics at University College London Hospitals since 2011.
He specialises in pregnancy and labour care, medical disorders (including perinatal mental health) in pregnancy, medical leadership in obstetrics and clinical governance.
At UCLH, he is part of the high-risk pregnancy multi-disciplinary team that includes midwives, haematologists, anaesthetists, cardiologists, psychiatrists and obstetric physicians. He has a particular interest in complicated pregnancies and regularly teaches midwives and doctors about emergencies in maternity services. He and a consultant midwife run a specialist clinic for women who have had a previous caesarean section.
In his time at UCLH he has previously been labour ward lead obstetrician, obstetrics risk lead, maternity guidelines lead.
He is a member of the British Intra-partum Care Society and the British Maternal and Fetal Medicine Society.
