Mr Justin Collins

Mr Collins qualified from Bristol University School of Medicine, before completing his Surgical and Urology Training in the Southwest of England and attaining his fellowship of the Royal College of surgeons London. He obtained a MD in surgical management of prostate disease from Bristol University and graduated from Robotic Prostatectomy and Cystectomy fellowships at Karolinska University, Stockholm and Mansoura University Hospital, Egypt. In 2014 he was appointed as an academic consultant urologist at the Karolinska University Hospital, Sweden, where he worked for five years. Mr Collins was appointed medical director of Orsi Academy in Belgium, the largest robotic training centre in Europe.

In August 2019, he moved to UCLH, where he is a member of the robot-assisted radical prostatectomy team and an honorary associate professor at UCL, with a focus on education.

Mr Collins is one of Europe’s leading academics in the field of robotic surgery training, with over 100 peer-reviewed publications, 20 awards and prizes, and over 250 presentations and state-of-the-art lectures at national and international conferences.
