Professional background

Hana Cho is a consultant in special care dentistry at Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospitals, UCLH. She qualified from University of Bristol in 2012. She obtained Membership to the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of England (2013), Diploma in Special Care Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons of England (2019), and Master’s in Clinical Research (2019). She completed NIHR Academic Clinical Fellowship at UCL/UCLH, prior to obtaining Diploma of Membership in Special Care Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons of England (2020).

She has worked in a range of dental specialties and settings prior to being appointed as a consultant in special care dentistry at UCLH. Her current role involves dental management of adults who are medically compromised, adults with learning disability, and those who require additional behavioural management.

She is actively involved in education and research, and has contributed to national clinical dental guidelines on the oral management of oncology patients as a co-author and acknowledged as a reviewer for dementia friendly dentistry.
