Professional background
Dr Paraskevopoulou undertook their undergraduate training at St George's university London, graduating in 2004. They completed their postgraduate training in medical virology at Imperial College obtaining their CCT in August 2016.
They were employed at UCLH as a sunstantive consultant in medical virology in September of 2016.
They are currently the education lead for the department and as such responsible for coordinating the laboratory and clinical aspects of training for the junior doctors rotating through medical virology.
They provide the virology liaison service for Central North West London (CNWL) sexual health services which includes an HIV clinic list at Mortimer Market Centre once a week.
They also provide virology support to acute services at UCLH such as the intensive treatment unit and emergency deparment including oversight of the rapid influenza/RSV assay available during the winter season in the hot lab in ED.
