Professional background
Dr Georgina Fozard is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at UCLH, working across paediatric and adolescent services. She offers psychiatry input for adolescent patients in acute mental health crisis, children and young people having treatment for cancer, gastro-intestinal problems, younger children, babies and their parents on T11 and also consults to The Lighthouse, a specialist service for children who have been sexually abused.
Dr Fozard graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2007 and Kings College London in 2010. Since then she has trained predominantly in Camden, Islington and at the Tavistock clinic, gaining MRCPsych in 2015. In 2021 she completed a year-long Darzi Fellowship in Leadership in Health, gaining a distinction. During this time she led a successful bid for a new CAMHS Home Treatment Team in North Central London for high-risk patients as an alternative to Tier 4 (inpatient) treatment, co-producing the pilot service-model with staff and patients. She set up and ran the NCL CAMHS Lived experience community, a lived-experience group of young people and parents who co-designed service changes across the crisis pathway.
Dr Fozard is currently training for an accreditation to offer twice weekly psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the Tavistock, she has also completed trainings in ADOS, 3DI, DBT-A, MBT-A, The Incredible Years School Age Parenting Course and AMBIT.
