Dr Christina Petropoulos

Christina is a general paediatrician and leads the children and young people's epilepsy service at UCLH. She qualified from St George’s Hospital Medical School in 1990 and her postgraduate medical training combined hospital and community paediatrics, epilepsy and neurodisability. She completed the MSc in Community Paediatrics at the Institute of Child Health in 2002 with distinction.

Christina joined the general paediatric team at UCLH in 2007 as a general paediatrician and she has developed the epilepsy service as well as integrated care local GPs. She has held a number of management roles and responsibilities including divisional clinical director, associate responsible officer, RCPCH college tutor and senior college tutor. Christina is an experienced teacher of undergraduates and postgraduates and teaches on advanced paediatric life support (APLS) and Paediatric Epilepsy Training (PET) courses. She also jointly chaired the North Thames Paediatric Epilepsy Network (NTPEN) for four years.
