Professional background
Dr Ben Parsons trained in medicine at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine where he also completed an undergraduate degree in neuroscience. He trained in anaesthesia in the London Academy of Anaesthesia before joining UCLH as a consultant in 2017.
His sub-specialty clinical interests include obstetric, paediatric and developing world anaesthesia. During his training, he completed advanced training placements in obstetric anaesthesia at UCH, paediatric anaesthesia at King’s College Hospital, and a 6-month Fellowship with the Lifebox Foundation in Ethiopia to help improve surgical and anaesthetic safety. Ben is currently the chair of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee for UCLH.
