Taking place this Sunday 9 October, the half marathon will take its runners through some of London's most beautiful, famous royal parks, including Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park, St James’ Park and Green Park.
Taking up the 13.1mile route are several members supporters and members of staff from across UCLH who are running to support UCLH Charity. Our starting line up includes:
- Team EPIC - a group of trainers from the electronic health record (EPIC) systems department, pictured. The team said: "We believe that the work the Charity does is important, and we want to do our part to making sure that the good work can continue. This is a great opportunity for us to do that." - Dr Michael Yeung - a consultant in medicine for the elderly who is running to say thank you to UCLH Charity for all we have done throughout the pandemic. He said: "On the care of the elderly wards, the Charity has supported providing equipment such as radios and activities to help make patient stays a little more comfortable in what is always a stressful time. Throughout the pandemic, the Charity also provided much needed refreshments and snacks for staff." Support Michael Yeung here.
- Team Sweat for UCLH - made up of GP trainee Matea Deliu and her friend, this duo are striving to raise over £700 for UCLH. Support their fundraiser here.
- Kenneth Chu - an electronic health records delivery manager at UCLH who is running to give back to UCLH. He said "UCLH Charity have done excellent work for patients, staff and research. I work at UCLH and personally have been a beneficiary over the last 20 years here, so it's only right that I do something back." Support Kenneth here.
- Dr Hamish Houston, who is running to support UCLH. Support his fundraiser here.
- Jack Marchant - Sister/Charge nurse PERRT who is running to support the work we do. Support Jack's fundraiser here.
- Louise Paine Davey - fundraising manager at UCLH Charity and seasoned runner, Louise is running to support everything UCLH Charity does. Donate to Louise's fundraiser here.
- Ekaterina Dixon - an administrator coordinator in the neuromuscular team at the NHNN. She said: "I am supporting the Charity to help them continue doing amazing projects, from improving patient experience and innovative research, to supporting staff to see more smiles on patients' faces and help their recovery." - Andrew - who is running to say thank you to the staff at UCLH who looked after his daughter in 2019. Support Andrew here.
- Charlotte - an external office coordinator who is running her first ever marathon. Support her fundraiser here.

Join us in supporting them on the day!
We welcome supporters, friends and family to come join us at our cheer point on the day and help us celebrate the event.
Our cheer point will be at at the end of the Serpentine Lake, along Serpentine Road W2. We will be initially situated between mile 5 and 6 – about half way as you come up to the bottom end of the Serpentine Lake and the Café.
