The Adult Orthopaedic Oncology Therapy Team specialise in rehabilitation of adults after orthopaedic oncology surgery. The therapy team comprises of physiotherapists, occupational therapists & a therapy technician. You may be seen by one or more of these therapists during your treatment. Your rehabilitation will be individual for you and the surgery you have had. It will help you to recover and adjust to life during and after sarcoma treatment or surgery.
If you require continued rehabilitation after your discharge, this may either take place at RNOH or at a hospital/clinic/GP surgery closer to your home. Your therapist will discuss this with you and let you know whether any further rehabilitation would be beneficial for you and where you will be referred to.
