An exhibition of photographs from Photographer in Residence Graeme Weston celebrating UCLH’s diverse workforce.
Graeme was commissioned to work in UCLH for a period of 6 months developing relationships with our staff and shadowing them whilst they work. The resulting photographs are a series of pictures illuminating the dedication of staff members in their work. Graeme’s aim for the residency was to create portraits that capture something of the intimacy and intensity of the many facets of healthcare work.
Graeme’s photographs achieve something unique in the way in which they both acknowledge the many differences of the staff of UCLH but at the same time emphasises the universal aspects of working in healthcare: dedication; love; commitment and care. These are the things that bind people together and foster a sense of solidarity and unity.
